TURA: GHADC Deputy CEM, Brigady N Marak, has refuted allegations of malpractices, misappropriating Council funds and corruption leveled against him by ANVC (B).

It may be noted that the ANVC breakaway faction, is demanding the immediate resignation of GHADC CEM PK Sangma and Dy CEM Brigady N Marak accusing them of alleged misappropriation of funds and corruption, failing which the outfit would take strict action against them, even hinting elimination.

Marak, speaking to media persons, stated that the allegations of amassing huge sums of money through malpractices and corruption against him by ANVC (B) was baseless as he was put in charge of Civil Works and the land and revenue department of the GHADC only on August 8, 2012. “The allegations of ANVC (B) accusing me of facilitating illegal settlement of toll gates and coal markets is false,” the Dy CEM said and added that that it was not possible for him to have indulged in the alleged malpractices given the length of his tenure in the Land and Revenue of the GHADC.
