Coal labourer murdered

SHILLONG: A coal labourer was killed on late Saturday night during a drunken brawl, in a remote area in Meghalaya’s South West Khasi Hills district, police said on Sunday.

The incident happened at Rajaju which falls under Ranikor police station, which is around 140 Km from Shillong.

W. Sohshang, the coal labourer died after he was assaulted and stabbed to death by other fellow coal labourers, police said. Meanwhile, one person has been arrested in connection with the killing of Sohshang.

The accused has identified himself as Purno Ghising
