Workshop on measures to create energy efficiency

 Shillong: With an aim to create awareness on PAT which is a market-based mechanism to enhance cost effective measures and improvements on energy efficiency for large industries and facilities through certification of energy savings that could be traded, a workshop on Notified Perform Achieve and Trade (PAT) was organised by the Inspectorate of Electricity at Pine Wood Hotel here on Tuesday.

The workshop was organised under the guidance and support of Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), New Delhi for designated consumers from the state of Assam and Meghalaya like major industries whose consumption of energy in the form of oil and its equivalent is very large.

Director of Commerce and Industries, W Langstang, and Commissioner and Secretary of Power Department, J Lyngdoh, were among the dignitaries who attended the workshop.
