New Delhi: The 18th annual Delhi Book Fair began at Pragati Maidan here Saturday. The nine day book fair will have e-books as its theme. There will also be seminars and book reading sessions.
The book fair from Sep 1-9 will play host to 300 publishers — both regional and international, including those from China, Pakistan, US, Britain, France and Germany. Inaugurating the fair, Delhi Lt Governor Tejendra Khanna said: “Hope the publishers would have inspirational books to spread the message of peace and brotherhood among people.”
According to the organisers, the theme of book fair is “e-books” which will remain the centre-stage during the event.
“The central theme of the fair is e-books. It will bring together technology and literature. Other than the theme of e-books, the fair will screen adaptations of popular novels in diverse languages,” said an organiser. (IANS)
