SHILLONG: The employees of the office of Commissioner of Transport have demanded removal of SN Marak, Commissioner of Transport, who allegedly slapped a senior Upper Divisional Assistant (UDA) on Wednesday.

The employees on Saturday threatened to go on an agitational path if the government refuses to remove Marak.

Meanwhile, the victim said the Commissioner of Transport had hit on her head after she committed some mistakes.

Earlier, the staff of the department on Friday went on a mass casual leave protesting the Commissioner’s highhandedness.

The staff even took up the matter with the State Chief Secretary demanding an apology from the Commissioner.

The staff decided to go on a mass casual leave on Monday again.
