MBA student applies for Cong ticket

 SHILLONG: Besides the wife of Chief Minister, Dikanchi D Shira, there is one more local woman aspirant for the Congress party ticket from Mahendraganj constituency. In a statement issued here on Tuesday, MBA student, Mafiara T. Sangma (Mamuni), said that she took the Congress application form on August 16. According to the statement, she has been an active member of the party since 2009 and it was due to the public demand that she joined politics at such a young age. Sangma said she would focus on the welfare of the youth of the state.
