Shillong: Police have arrested the brother of police constable Paul R Sangma, who was injured during a drunken brawl at the MLA Hostel on Tuesday night.
Challang R Sangma was arrested following investigation by the police.
The injured constable is undergoing treatment at the Shillong Civil Hospital.
In another case, one Mohan Thapa (19) was injured after he was assaulted by unknown miscreants at around 11.55 pm at Kench’s Trace on Wednesday. The injured has been admitted at the Shillong Civil Hospital.
On the same night at around 11.30pm, unidentified miscreants pelted stones at an MTC bus (ML-03-0170) at Mawlai, GS Road. It was reported that some window panes of the bus were damaged. No casualty was reported.
