Shillong: The Megha-laya Transport Corporation Workers Union (MTCWU) has given a September 15 deadline to the state government to clear the pending salaries of its members failing to which the Union would resort to agitation once again. The Union had earlier suspended its agitation after the government paid part of the pending salary and arrear. “The government had promised that all pending salaries and arrears will be paid in due course. But till date, there is no sign of it”, MTCWU general secretary K Rumnong said in a statement issued here on Tuesday.
