SHILLONG: The state unit of BJP has condemned the decision taken by the UPA government in increasing the price of diesel and gas cylinders. According to BJP, the hike is diesel price will have a cascading affect on inflation as the policy made by the Central government on LPG will encourage more black marketing in the country.
The State BJP has also questioned the decision of the Government to issue only six LPG cylinders to a consumer in a given year. “We demand an immediate roll back of the diesel price and to streamline the LPG gas supply which will stop black marketing and ease the common men to get the cylinders smoothly,” the statement added.
