SHILLONG: Two Congress leaders – Union Power Minister M Veerappa Moily and AICC general secretary in charge Meghalaya Dhaniram Shandil – will interact with Congress legislators and party leaders at Congress Bhavan here on Monday.

A Congress legislator said on Sunday that the meeting of the Congress leaders from Delhi assumes significance since the Assembly elections are just six months away.

“The Congress leaders from Delhi will assess the ground reality as far as the functioning of the Congress-led MUA coalition in the State is concerned,” the legislator said.

The leaders are expected to suggest the need to start aggressive campaign by the Congress workers in the State in the run up to the Assembly elections due for early part of next year.

The Congress will put up candidates in all the sixty constituencies in the State.
