Soon, a B.Ed College in Jaintia Hill: Laloo

 JOWAI: A college for pursuing Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree will soon be set up in Jaintia Hills District in order to help aspirant graduates qualify as teachers in schools.

This was informed by Education Minister, Dr. RC Laloo while addressing the gathering who attended the foundation day celebrations of Kiang Nangbah College on Saturday. The establishment of a B.Ed College has been the long pending demand of Jaintia hills based NGOs particularly the Jaintia Students’ Union.

Dr RC Laloo also informed that the Government will soon introduce a seperate Higher Secondary level in the college and the college will be dealing with only Degree Courses.
