SHILLONG: The BSF Frontier Headquarter, Shillong on Tuesday celebrated the ‘BSF Wives Welfare Association Day’. The event started with lightning of the lamp by Dr. Prema Gandhi, acting vice president of BWWA, Shillong.
The programme consisted of several activities like debate competition, essay competition, quiz competition and a colourful cultural programme followed by the prize distribution.
Speaking on the occasion, BSF IG, Meghalaya Frontier, Sudesh Kumar, appealed to the BWWA to undertake multidimensional activities to address the problems of jawans and their families by organising vocational training, computer awareness, literacy and health programmes.
