Several injured in road mishaps

Shillong: One Pelson Marak (38, male) suffered injuries when a Maruti 800 he was driving towards Garobadha from Tura went off road at Hajongpara under Selsella Block, West Garo Hills on Wednesday. He was later shifted to Tura Civil Hospital.

In another incident, a helper of a truck sustained injuries when the truck he was travelling on went off the road at Sohryngkham on Wednesday. The helper, Mohammed Nazir Khan (28, male) has been admitted at the Shillong Civil Hospital.

In another case, one Prebilin Shira (50) sustained injuries after she was hit by a motorbike at Damas Bazar under Resubelpara Block, North Garo Hills on Tuesday. She was later shifted to Goalpara Civil Hospital.

In another case, one Nipin Das (38, male) sustained injuries after he fell down while he was escaping from a group of unknown miscreants who were trying to assault him at Lower Babupara (near Maternity & Child Hospital, Tura) under Rongram Block, West Garo Hills on Tuesday. He was shifted to Tura Civil Hospital.
