Spanish actor Javier Bardem says he
has found his soul mate in actress
Penelope Cruz. The Oscar-winning couple, who are parents to Leonardo, are known to keep their private life out of radar but Bardem opened up about his domestic life in an interview to GQ magazine.
“I’m happily married. I breathe and stay in peace. I truly thank whoever’s up there for giving me the opportunity to be loved,” the 43-year-old star said.
The actor, who plays the main villain in upcoming Bond film ‘Skyfall’, started dating Cruz in 2007. They wed two years later in a small, private ceremony at a friend’s house in the Bahamas.
Javier, who won the Oscar for his role in the Coen Brothers’ ‘No Country For Old Men’, says he can’t stand to watch his own films.
Bardem credits a certain feminine side to his personality for his deeply moving performances.
“I was raised not to be afraid to show emotion or imagination. I have a man and a woman in the same body; I have the male and female values in the same body.” (PTI)
