SHILLONG: The meeting of the State UDP (Youth Wing) General Council is expected to discuss the issue of strengthening the party at the grass root level in view of the upcoming 2013 Assembly election.
The meeting is scheduled to be held at the community hall of the Jaiaw Shyiap-Lumpyllon on Monday at 11.30 am.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, the State UDP (Youth Wing) general secretary David Kharsati said they have asked each constituency to send ten representatives for the GC meeting.
“We are hopeful that there some valuable suggestions would come from the members on the steps required to be taken for strengthening the party,” Kharsati said.
He also informed that they are also expected to elect new office bearers of the State UDP (Youth Wing) during the meeting.
