SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Medical Service Association (MMSA) has decided to keep their State-wide stir to be held here on Monday on hold temporarily, following the government’s offer of talks over the issue of alleged assault and detention of Dr WN Sangma by the police.

A day after the MMSA turned down the request from the State Government to wait for the report of the magisterial inquiry; the state government has asked the association to talk over the matter of which the same was agreed by them even while maintaining that the agitation is withdrawn temporarily until further development. The MMSA has demanded the stern actions against the responsible constables.
