Validity of vehicle permits extended

NONGPOH: The Regional Transport Authority Board, Ri-Bhoi, has decided that the validity periods of all permits for contract carriages (local taxis, auto rickshaws etc.,) shall be extended to one year instead of four months, to be effective from November. The validity period of permit for vehicles other than contract carriages shall also be for one year, but from the date of issue or renewal of the permits. The vehicle owners also have to obtain stickers from the office of the SP, Ri-Bhoi district, on payment of a nominal fee.
