SHILLONG: A motorist and two pillion riders sustained injuries when the motorbike they were travelling on was involved in a head-on collision with a Maruti 800 coming from the opposite direction near the office of the Horticulture at Rongram, West Garo Hills on Sunday afternoon.

The injured Griksal M Marak (17, M), Waynon B Marak (17, M) and Savio D Shira (17, M) were admitted at Tura Civil Hospital.

One Petking Marak (20, M) sustained injuries after he fell off his motorbike at Soinang Bazar under Resubelpara Block, North Garo Hills on Sunday afternoon. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based at Resubelpara helped in shifting the injured to Resubelpara CHC.

A helper of a coal-laden truck sustained injuries when the truck went off the road at Khliehtyrshi, Jaintia Hills on Saturday. The injured Markhat Kannai (21, M) was admitted at Jowai Civil Hospital.
