Sadananda Das
Sadananda Das (67), a retired director of horticulture-East Khasi Hills and a resident of Upper Risa Colony, passed away on Tuesday. He had served as the director of an NGO-Roko Cancer from 2010 to July 2012. Originally from Tezpur, Assam, Das is survived by his wife and son.

Elphrinstil Phawa, an employee of Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council, passed away on Thursday. His funeral will be held at Nartiang Presbyterian Church cemetery in Moodop on Saturday.
