SHILLONG: The Justice (retired) SP Rajkhowa Inquiry Commission in its sitting held on Friday agreed to examine three more witness before completing the probe.

The Commission during the next sitting scheduled for November 8 and 9 will examine Sub-Inspector RA Sangma who carried out the first inquest on the body of jailbreak mastermind Fullmoon Dhar.

The Commission will also examine senior scientific officers of the Ballistic Division, Directorate of Forensic Science – Manoranjan Talukdar and Madhu Sharma.

As the counsel for Meghalaya Government KTS Tulsi could not attend the hearing, he was represented by P Nongbri.

During the hearing, Agnes Kharshiing, who is pursuing the jailbreak case on behalf of SCAMOD, submitted that in addition to the two witnesses from the Directorate of Forensic Science, Guwahati, the police official RA Sangma who conducted the first inquest should also be examined which was agreed by the Commission.

The Government recently granted extension to the Commission till January 10 to submit the full report.

Unhappy with the tardy progress of the hearing, the State Government had earlier sought an assessment report from the Commission and based on the report, the Government granted extension for three more months.
