Two arrested for producing fake certificates

SHILLONG: Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) and Electoral Registration Officer for 14-Pynthorumkhrah Constituency N Hajong on Thursday, lodged a complaint against two people, Amresh Kumar Rai and Bhusan Roy for allegedly submitting fake certificates in the office of Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills.

In another case, unknown miscreants withdrew Rs 27,000 from the account of Iaiphyrnai Mitri of Laban on October 17. Police said that the pin number was written at back of the ATM card which allowed the miscreants to withdraw the money.
