NONGSTOIN: The Headquarters of 4th Battalion in Sohpian Nongstoin have yet again produced another batch of Constables amidst constraints in its training Centre.
Despite many abnormalities caused by the poor infrastructure of the training centre, male constables trainee police of the 3rd 4th and the 6th Battalion from different district passed out on Thursday after completing a nine year basic training.
There are 197 constable Police who passed out on Thursday which include 24 from 3rd Battalion, 95 from 4th Battalion and 78 from 5th Battalion. B.L.Buam (IPS) Addl Director General of Police has kindly consented to review the parade.
Addressing to the gathering B.L.Buam expressed his congratulations to all the 197 Recruits for completing their training, he also mentioned that the State is in a sure path of development if the police force sticks to their duties with utmost sincerity and fearlessly.
“The passing out parade marks the beginning of commitment towards their responsibilities and duties in accordance with the law,” B.L.Buam said while adding that peace will only exist if the police and the public work together.
Buam also assured that the training centre at Sohpian will surely get the full-fledged training centre for the newly recruit police constables.
On the occasion, special prizes were also awarded to the recruits who excelled in their training, where the All round Best Recruit Award was awarded to RC/557 Chandon Koch, for his excellence and performance during his training.
