Rape cases-This week witnessed the involvement of minor in this crime whereby on Wednesday at around 6.10 pm, one minor boy identified as Starline Mawroh raped a minor girl of 5 yrs at 3rd Mile Upper Shillong. Police informed that the matter is under enquiry.
Meanwhile, one woman lodged a complaint at Mahendraganj PS that on Monday at around 8.30 am, one Shah Alam (16 yrs) raped her at Agragittim (SWGH). Police arrested the accused.
One, Bhaben Rabha lodged a complaint at Mendipathar PS that Kontho Rabha raped his mentally unstable minor daughter (11 yrs) at Habada village (NGH). Police arrested the accused.
Theft cases- On Wednesday night, unknown miscreants stole three tola gold and two kg silver coins from the jewellery shop of one Jaspal Singh at Khlieh Iewduh, Shillong. Matter is under enquiry.
One LS Kharbuli, Asst. Engineer incharge of TLMSD MePTCL, Umiam lodged a complaint that on October 17 during inspection of Sumer-Mawlai line, it was found that unknown miscreants have stolen tower members and GI angles valued around Rs. 1 lakh.
On October 16 at around 8.15 pm, unknown miscreants stole one lap top computer from the house of Shri Jazienlien Chiru at Lumjingsuk, Shillong.
Harassment case- Unidentified miscreants assaulted one Khastar Diengdoh (40 yrs) at Polo Bazar, Shillong at around 8 am on Thursday. As a result, he sustained injuries and shifted to CH Shillong. Matter is under enquiry.
Forgery case- Dr (Mrs) LL Sawian lodged a complaint that on October 18, one Dr Abul Hussain Suraj, MBBS is prescribing allopathic medicines though he had been warned by District Medical & Health Officer in this regard.
Police informed that arrest has been made in this regard since they are still awaiting the necessary documents from the district Medical Office. “So far, we have not arrested the alleged doctor as we are still enquiring into the matter”, a senior police official said.
Murder case- One Monush Sangma (60) was murdered at Lyngar under Shella PS by unknown persons on Tuesday. Police informed that investigation is still on.
