Gandhinagar: Expressing confidence about gaining a victory in the upcoming state assembly polls, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would celebrate ”Diwali” this year on December 20, the day when the elections results would be announced.

“We will celebrate Diwali on December 20 and it will be celebrated on a grand scale,” said Modi, while addressing a youth convention here.

Modi also hit out at the Congress Party for fighting the assembly polls with money power.

“If I wasn”t travelling the path of truth, I would not be addressing this massive audience. Congress is spending money while the BJP is sweating out with hard work.

They are fighting with money power; we are fighting with workers” power. We are workers of the BJP, we must embrace the youth. We must keep walking, we must keep meeting people. The more people we meet, the more we connect,” Modi said. (ANI)
