Roll observer
The Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills District has informed that the Government has appointed LR Kharkongor, Commissioner and Secretary, Government of Meghalaya as Special Roll Observer for the special summary revision of electoral rolls in the district.

Vigilance week
The Khadi and Village Industries Commission will observe the Vigilance Awareness Week from October 29 to November 3 in its office premises. Activities like display of banners, posters etc., at prime locations in the office, seminars/workshops and competitive debates/lectures/essays on anti-corruption topics will be organised.
JCI chapter
The JCI Shillong Chapter will be launched on Saturday at the Seminar Hall of KHADC at 11 am. Junior Chamber International is a youth body having its national office in Mumbai and working on issues of empowerment of youth and on leadership, entrepreneurship and all round youth activities in India and across the world.
