Prime accused remanded in police custody

 SHILLONG: The city court on Sunday remanded six persons arrested in connection with the murder of one Losber Pyngrope (45) at Thangbnai village near Mawlyngngot in East Khasi Hills on Monday to two-day police custody.

The arrested persons – Phrangsngi Pyngrope (23), Mong Pyngrope (23), Rojak Pyngrope (22), Philis Pyngrope (26), Speak Pyngrope (45) and Saian Kshiar (75) – allegedly murdered their relative Pyngrope following a dispute over a plot of land.

Earlier, the court had remanded the accused in five-day police custody.
