Badhte Kadam

The fourth stage of Badhte Kadam was launched at Wahiajer, West Jaintia Hills by Deputy Commissioner PS Dkhar. During the programme he called upon people to treat the differently-abled with equality while asking the participants to avail the benefits of the scheme.

Gratuitous relief

The Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills has released an amount of Rs 6200 for the families affected by the fire incident during 2011-2012 in different villages under Thadlaskein Block.

In connection with the accident case at MES on Monday (ST, November 6) one Gideon Bareh has clarified that his name was mentioned as the driver of the Alto when the driver was actually Pynbitlang Hynniewta who is also the owner of the vehicle.

In relation to a crime report (ST, November 6), it was clarified that the alleged rapist Reginald N Marak had raped a 15-year-old girl who is his neighbour and not his sister.
