Lyngdoh cleared the appointment of Dr A Jyrwa as Director, DHS, Medical Institute), Dr Malati K Marak (Director, Maternal and Child Health and Family Welfare) and Dr. D Pariat (Director, Research, DHS) on Tuesday.

The notification in this regard is scheduled to be released shortly.

However, according to sources, the senior official of the Health Department approached the Chief Minister to have some changes in the appointment.

The official wanted Dr Malati Marak to be appointed as head of DHS, Medical Institute, Dr Pariat (Maternal and Child Health and Family Welfare) and Dr Jyrwa as Director, Research.

When contacted, the Deputy Chief Minister said three names were approved on the basis of the recommendation made by the departmental promotion committee.
