SHILLONG: The State government on Thursday effected a minor reshuffle in the police department.
East Khasi Additional Superintendent of Police (traffic) Herbert Lyngdoh is transferred as the Superintendent of Police (SP), West Jaintia Hills. The present incumbent O Passi will now take over as the Assistant Inspector General (Establishment).
The present AIG (establishment) DM Sangma is transferred as the Chief Security Officer, MeECL in place of K Rymbai, who is made SP (Re-organisation).
Sources said that the Shillong Traffic Department will now be jointly looked after by the SP, East Khasi Hills M Kharkrang and other senior officials.
