SHILLONG: One person died on the spot and another was injured when a Maruti 800 travelling towards Jowai from Umkiang Village skidded off the road and went down the cliff at Khliehriat Diengchynrum under Khliehrait Block, East Jaintia Hills on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Albert Warjri (60) while the co-passenger Hospi Poshna (28) sustained injuries and has been shifted to Khliehrait CHC.
