Body recovered in Jaintia Hills

JOWAI: Ladrymbai Police on Monday recovered the body of a driver who was allegedly kidnapped and killed by unknown miscreants suspected to be car-lifters.

The deceased was identified as Nazim Uddin (27). The body was recovered from Mukoilara near Pamra-paithlu village in East Jaintia Hills District.

Sources informed that the vehicle driven by Uddin was recovered from Karbi-Anglong.

“The vehicle was seized by Karbi Anglong Police,” sources said.

The body was later sent to Khliehriat CHC for post-mortem examination.
