SHILLONG: Angry over the misuse of the Seng Khasi flag by Ka Irish Shullai Durga Puja Committee, the Central Puja Committee (CPC) after its recent meeting asserted that in future, the Puja Committee would not tolerate any such aberrations.

In a statement issued here, the general secretary of CPC, JL Das, said that the meeting of the CPC has decided to advise the Irish Shullai Durga Puja Committee to settle the vexed issue with the Seng Khasi Raid Laban and intimate the outcome to the CPC.

Das also said that no puja committee will be allowed to tarnish the image of the CPC in any manner.

“If any puja committee is found to be involved either directly to indirectly in hurting religious sentiments of other faiths by way of misusing sacred flags or symbols, they will be disaffiliated from the membership of the Central Puja Committee,” Das added.
