CM urges youths to make full use of Govt schemes

 SHILLONG: Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma has emphasised on the various schemes of the Government while calling upon the youth to propagate them properly for the benefit of the people of the State.

Addressing the gathering during an Interaction Day held here on Wednesday, Dr Sangma urged the people of the State through the youth to avail the various schemes of the Government.

He called upon the youth to work sincerely and focus on the various activities and developmental programmes being implemented in the State while urging them to be more aware of the various programmes.

The interactive programme called Outreach Programme for ST (Scheduled Tribe) was attended by hundreds of youths from all across the State and was graced by senior AICC leaders in charge of youth from New Delhi and others.

Addressing the gathering, IYC secretary in charge Meghalaya, Indrani Mishra, stressed on the importance of the Youth Congress today and encouraged the MPYC to move ahead with various programmes and activities.

West Bengal in charge Deepika Pandey talked about the importance of the Scheduled Tribes in the Youth Congress.

Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest, Shanimol Osman, AICC in charge Youth, explained the undergoing transformation taking place in the Youth Congress and said that every individual needs to be given special attention for the upliftment of the Youth Congress.

“In this new system all the youth are treated equally with equal opportunities,” she said, while making the announcement that some hardworking youth from the State will be selected to be in the National team.
