East Khasi Hills enter U-25 cricket tourney final

SHILLONG: In the first semifinal of the Under-25 Inter District Cricket Tournament, East Khasi Hills District Cricket Association completely outplayed Ri-Bhoi Cricket Association and won the match by 10 wickets.

Electing to bat first after winning the toss Ri-Bhoi were all out for only 42 runs in 16.3 overs with Kishorjit Das the only batsman to put up a semblance of resistance with a score of 15 runs. Mithun Dam and Anzar Ali took three wickets each for East Khasi Hills.

In the second innings East Khasi Hills completed the chase without losing a wicket and in just 9.4 overs with Amiangshu Sen scoring 26 runs.

Garo Hills and Shillong Cricket Association will meet in the second semifinal on Friday.
