SHILLONG: The KSU Eastern Central Khasi Hills recently decided to dissolve the KSU Dienglieng Circle following complaints from fellow members of various units under Dienglieng Circle on the lack of responsibility of leaders of the circle.
The decision was taken by the KSU Eastern Central at its executive committee held on December 1.
“Prior to this decision, we had directed the leaders of the Circle to hold a meeting two months back to solve all the problems and also to elect new members. We had even issued a deadline of November 20, however, the Circle leaders failed to take any initiative,” KSU Eastern Central Khasi Hills president Wanlambok Kharsati said.
The committee also decided to form a caretaker body for the time being which will be headed by Egenstar Kurkalang as the caretaker president and Michael Lawai as the caretaker secretary until a new body is elected in January.
