NONGSTOIN: Members of the KSU Nongstoin Circle and Nongpyndeng Unit have extended their gratitude to the people of Nongpyndeng, Nongstoin Region Local Taxi Owners’ and Drivers’ Association and volunteers for their support and co-operation in making the 48-hour blockade on Monday and Tuesday fully successful.

Members of the Union also apologized to the people of Maweit for the hardships they faced during the blockade.

They said that it was not their intention to cause problems to the people but to bring about development in the area and to make the Government aware of the people’s plight.

The KSU members also condemned miscreants who pelted stones on vehicles during the blockade and felled trees to obstruct the road, while clarifying that none of their members were involved in these incidents.
