Cleaning drive

The Dorbar Shnong of Mawlai Mawiongrim will conduct a cleaning drive on December 12 from 8am onwards. It was informed that during the drive, the roads will remain closed until the drive is completed. The Dorbar Shnong has also asked all the residents, land owners and leasers to take part in the drive.

Notice

The Nongstoin Butcher and Social Welfare Association informed the residents of Nongstoin that the rate of Beef meat will be increased to Rs 170 per kg and for pork meat; it will be 200 per kg. The same will be in effect from December 13.

Liquor seized

Police on Sunday seized 7245 ml of IMFL from the house of one Regina Kharkrang of Umkaliar-Demseiniong. The woman has been arrested under section 53 (1) (a) of Meghalaya Excise (ME) Act.
