SHILLONG: The ANVC (B) has asked the legislators to raise issues concerning Garo Hills in the ongoing Assembly winter session.
“We are hoping against hope that some of our leaders would raise issues concerning Garo Hills in this session and bring home the greatest Christmas gift that we have always aspired for which will ensure lasting peace in Garo Hills,” ANVC (B) chairman Rimpu Marak said in a statement.
According to Marak, the outfit is looking forward for a positive outcome before Christmas so that there is peace during the Festive season.
“We want what is constitutionally achievable and rightfully ours so that there is progress, development and growth in Garo Hills thereby resulting in lasting peace,” Marak added.
