Accidents across state

A driver of a Maruti Alto, Hasper Nongsiej (50,M), travelling towards Shillong from Nongstoin sustained injuries when the vehicle had a head on collision on a turning with a truck coming from the opposite direction at Manai under Mairang Block, West Khasi Hills at 8.43 am on Monday.

Two persons, Margaret Tapeng (15/F) and Chilang Damon (36/M), sustained injuries when a Maruti 800 local taxi (MLO4A – 2318), in the process of avoiding a head on collision with a truck coming from the opposite direction, hit the wall on the side of the road near the petrol pump at Mawryngkneng on December 16.

A motorist and a pillion rider, Rajiv Koch (20,M) and Vikash Koch (16,M), sustained injuries when they fell off the motorbike after it skidded near the MBOSE Office at Daldagre under Rongram Block, West Garo Hills on December 15. The injured were on their way to Garobadha from Tura when the incident happened.

A motorist, Banpyrshanglang Nongbet (28,M), sustained injuries when the motorbike collided with a local taxi near the indoor stadium at Mawlai Mawdatbaki, Shillong on December 15.

A driver of an ambulance Maruti van (MLO5H – 3806), Khrawkupar Lyngdoh sustained injuries after the vehicle was involved in a head on collision with a Mahindra Bolero (ASOIC – 7221) coming from the opposite direction. The incident happened at Mawlai Mawiong, Shillong on the December 15.
