Dong Gordon Bhagyakul completes 25 years

SHILLONG: A locality which knows its roots and religion is a locality which knows the road forward and possesses the ability to lead the future generation ahead, observed Urban Affairs Minister, Ampareen Lyngdoh.

Lyngdoh was addressing the Silver Jubilee celebration of Dong Gordon Bhagyakul, Laitumkhrah at BIJNI Complex here on Tuesday.

She further stated that although the Dong is a very young locality in Laitumkhrah area yet it has produced a number of eminent personalities in various fields like engineering, doctors, political leaders etc. Lauding the efforts and contribution of the executive dorbar, Lyngdoh said that although 25 years for a locality is still very young but yet this locality will keep on progressing from time to time because of the dynamic functioning of the Dorbar Shnong.
