Musical event in East Jaintia Hills

SHILLONG: With an aim to uplift the tourism potential that East Jaintia Hills has to offer, the District Arts & Culture Society is gearing up to organise a one-day mega musical event ‘Symphony’ at Khliehriat on Friday.

The musical event will see performances by leading local artistes who will be making a trip to Khliehriat to enthrall the audience with their assorted numbers.

Local talents like Gracyl Ropmay, Merlvin Mukhim, Jane Garcia, Christopher Kurbah, Ram Suchiang, Felix, Colours, Strait Brothers and a host of others will feature in the event. The main aim of this extravaganza is to promote music as an art form and also as a profession amongst the people in the newly-formed district.
