NONGSTOIN: Five suspected cadres of the ANVC (B) were apprehended from Nongshram, West Khasi Hills and Mendipathar, North Garo Hills on Monday. The police, which jumped into action after a call from a toll gate at Nongshram, recovered the demand note the militants had served to the toll gate owner. The five ANVC cadres have been identified as Sunil N Marak, Palwan Marak, Nethar K Sangma, Sengwan G Momin and Amobi Momin.
