Kohima: Alemtemshi Jamir, senior Additional Chief Secretary of Nagaland on Monday took over the charge of the Chief Secretary from present incumbent Lalthara, who retired today.
Speaking at the ‘Handing Over of Charge’ function, Mr Lalthara recalled his 37 years of service to the people of Nagaland in various status and said it was love of the people of Nagaland and the other bureaucrats that he was able to extend his service to the people.
He said the state is with full of problems and the Government is trying to solve all the problems, but in steps due to financial condition of the state.
Later talking to newsmen present in the function Mr Alemtemshi said his top priority would be the development of the state with transparency and accountability, however, the main problem is the solution of the Naga political problem. (UNI)
