Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who received a notice from the Supreme Court over Income Tax payment, says he will follow the law.

A petition was filed by the Income Tax department that Amitabh Bachchan owes Rs.1.66 crore in taxes for his show “Kaun Banega Crorepati” for the year 2001-2002.

“There are two things in life that are inevitable, death and Income Tax. I will follow the court’s order,” he told reporters at the unveiling of the first promo of “Jolly LLB” Tuesday.

Bachchan was the guest of honour at the promo launch of Subhash Kapoor’s film “Jolly LLB”, which stars Arshad Warsi, Amrita Rao and Boman Irani.

Coincidently, the film talks about the Indian judiciary system and the superstar said he had never faced an issue with the system.

“I have not really faced an issue with it. I remember when my name cropped up during Bofors case in London, the only weapon I had was speaking the truth. We were on the side of truth and we won,” said the 70-year-old who got a clean chit in the Bofors case from Swedish whistleblower Sten Lindstrom, who led the Bofors probe in his country.

Talking about the film, Big B said: “I am truly impressed with the promo of the film and I really liked it a lot. I hope the film achieves great success.” (IANS)
