Garo Hills catholics celebrate 80 years of establishment

TURA: Thousands of Catholic faithful joined the celebrations to mark the establishment of eighty years of the Catholic Church in the Garo Hills, with a special church service at the Tura Don Bosco Stadium, which was followed by a religious procession through the main thoroughfares of the town.
Leading the faithful in prayer the Bishop of Tura, Rt Rev Andrew R Marak, who spoke on the importance of the mission Congress and the importance of keeping the faith while delivering his holy sermon.
He also called upon the faithful to light a candle and seek the blessing of the Lord in Church.
Devotees from as far away as Bongaigaon in Assam, (Contd on P-10)
