SHILLONG: On the eve of Republic Day celebrations in the country the President of India has approved the Home Guards and Civil Defence Medal for meritorious service to two personnel Alkat Litting of the Border Wing Home Guards Battalion, Shillong and Fredarick Mawrie, Guardsman, Central Training Institute.
