Two incidents of hit and run cases were reported from Goiragre and Mawlai Mawiong. A motorist, Prinath Sangma (20, M) travelling towards Tura sustained injuries when his motorbike was hit by another vehicle near the 2nd Battalion gate at Goiragre, West Garo Hills on January 26 evening. In the second case, a pillion rider sustained injuries when the motorbike was hit by another vehicle near the Shillong Hyundai showroom at Mawlai Mawiong, Shillong on January 25 evening. Phungsirang Bimari (20, M) was shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital.

A nine-year-old boy, Ankit Rai, sustained injuries when the local taxi he was travelling on, was involved in a collision with a Maruti car at NEEPCO, Shillong on January 26 afternoon. The injured was shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital.

In another case reported from Tiehsaw, a motorist and a pillion rider fell off a bridge when their motorbike skidded at Sohwanthiang Bridge at Tiehsaw under Mawthadraishan Block, West Khasi Hills on January 25 afternoon. Shaidaris Lyngdoh Nonglait (23, F) and Jetlin Lyngdoh Nonglait (27, M) were shifted to Nongpoh Civil Hospital.

An auto rickshaw was involved in a head-on collision with a truck coming from the opposite direction at Pahamrinai under Umling Block, Ri-Bhoi district on January 28 morning. David Nongkynrih (40, M) and Commandwell Lapang (28, M) were shifted to Nongpoh Civil Hospital while another injured Charles Lyngdoh (45, M) was shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital.

In all of the above cases, the 108 Emergency Service Ambulance helped to shift the injured persons to the hospitals.
