Rape slur on NCP worker

SHILLONG: An NCP worker of Baghmara has been accused of raping a girl during an election meeting in South Garo Hills.

According to police, one Felix S. Marak lodged a complaint at Baghmara police station that on February 12 stating that Ranggam A. Sangma, an NCP worker, raped one girl aged 23 during an election meeting held at Dubagre in South Garo Hills.

When contacted, the NCP candidate from Baghmara Panseng Sangma said over phone from South Garo Hills on Thursday that the person called Ranggam Sangma was not his supporter and added that he might be the supporter of some other candidate.
