The election manifesto released by the congress speaks about providing more jobs for the youths in the state.

However, the question is how will the party generate employment considering the lack of opportunities in Meghalaya.

With the unemployment ratio on the rise, the Congress party should have first adopted effective ways and means to arrest this trend instead of suddenly promising an astronomical 10,000 government jobs and 1lakh jobs in the non-governmental sector.

If the Congress cannot fulfill what they promised, people would all the more appreciate the manifestos of the regional parties as these parties have not made any big assurances ahead of the elections.
