SHILLONG: UDP president Dr Donkupar Roy said that the Congress has been able to outshine other political parties in the recent election since it has more reach and better resources compared to the regional parties.
“Despite not having superior resources the UDP still managed to win eight seats,” Dr Roy said while addressing newsmen on Tuesday.
When ask whether UDP would want to be part of the Congress-led Government, Dr Roy said at the moment the Congress does not need its support.
“You can ask MPCC chief DD Lapang if he needs our support,” the UDP president added.
Dr Roy also reiterated they are committed to playing the role of a constructive opposition.
